Free School Meal Initiative 2014

On February 7th, 2014, posted in: All by david

In January 2014, Secretary of State for Education, Michael Gove and the Minister of State for Schools, David Laws, issued a letter to all Head teachers of Primary Schools across England. This letter detailed plans, to come into play in September 2014, to provide all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 with free school meals.
To prepare themselves for this new legislation many Head Teachers are having to think of updating their existing catering facilities.
Here at Fulcrum we have carried out many kitchen refurbishments in primary schools throughout Wiltshire – these have included Minster School in Warminster, Wansdyke Primary School in Devizes, Wilton & Barford School near Salisbury and most recently Cherhill Primary School Calne.
“A huge thank you to Dave and the team at Fulcrum who fitted our new school kitchen. They provided expert advice, design and installation, all within a tight time frame and an even tighter budget and still managed to be professional and supportive. Well done”

Fulcrum is already in discussions with primary schools in Wiltshire and neighbouring counties offering budget conscious solutions to this additional burden about to be placed on their catering facilities.
If you have found yourself affected by this new legislation we would be happy to offer our services to you.
