The Fat Fowl Restaurant

In February this year Fulcrum were invited to tender the refurbishment of The Fat Fowl Restaurant, Bradford upon Avon.
The owners of the Restaurant, Mark Kendall and Arlene Caddow were victim to 2 ft of water cascading into their establishment on Christmas Eve 2013. The water caused a huge amount of damage to items including the flooring, the freezers and ovens. As a result the Restaurant was closed for almost 4 months due to delays in starting refurbishments caused by further bad weather coupled with delays in securing insurance funds due to the volume of claims being made. However in February and March Fulcrum produced plans for the refurbishment. Arlene and Mark were keen to create an open plan kitchen complete with new burner ovens and warewashing equipment suitable for a sizeable restaurant.

The fitting of the project was overseen by Fulcrum’s Project Manager, Steve Dick. This was the first project he had overseen independently. Steve coped well with the challenge working doggedly to ensure all works were completed in the requested timescale.

Fitting took place on Tuesday 15th April with final signoff completed by the Easter break. The re-opening took place on Thursday 24th April and gained a mention on BBC News Points west:
